I hate the current state of the job market right now. I really do. It's all a scam. People claim they are hiring, you apply, nothing. You apply, you call, you email, nothing. You apply, you call, you email, you get a response! Yay! You interview, and nothing. I hate it.
I remember at one of my past jobs we were always required to tell people we were hiring even if we weren't. It made me feel bad and if my store manager wasn't there I would tell whoever was asking the truth. I don't think it's fair to lie to people just because you want to seem like you have a lot of positions or openings or whatever you are trying to convey. I honestly don't know what they were trying to convey by lying to potential applicants. It makes people disinterested in the job if you ask me.
This is why I truly believe you should lie to your employers. Obviously not like about licensing for the job or like required elements, like degrees or if you can actually use a forklift or whatever. But like I will use my mom as reference, and I am good at Microsoft and I have some experience in a related field. That last one is usually for cooking or daycare jobs, as my experience is baking cakes and cooking for my family, and babysitting family members and church daycare. It's okay to lie sometimes if it gets you a job. I feel like for most jobs that are a specialized, licensed field, saying that you're willing to be trained for whatever position you end up in and that you will put your all into it should be enough, but alas, they are too lazy to want to train people.
Anyways, have my rant on the current job market, and wish me luck on my job interview tomorrow. Fuck capitalism.
